How to Remove Stretch Marks with Coffee Scrubs

Stretch marks can develop on your skin if you undergo rapid weight gain, weight loss, or especially during pregnancy. It appears when your body grows faster than your skin can keep up with. This causes the elastic fiber just under the surface of the skin to break, resulting in stretch marks.


Stretch marks can appear almost anywhere in your body, but it is most likely to appear at where your fat accumulates, such as breasts, belly, thigh and upper arms. What you need

You can combine leftover dry coffee grounds with other natural ingredients to make your own coffee scrub. Here are all the ingredients you need

Ÿ  One cup of grounded coffee

Ÿ  Three teaspoons of sea salt

Ÿ  Six teaspoons of 100% natural oil (olive oil or coconut oil are common)


Coffee ground will remove the stretch marks. However, the oil will help the coffee grounds to stay on your skin and add extra health benefit to your skin as well. Once you have all the ingredients, mix everything until it becomes a paste-like. Ideally, the end mix should produce the past that can stay on your skin for an extended period.


If you are not confident to create your own scrub, you can always get premade ones from any health stores. Just make sure they are 100% natural and contains no artificial ingredients. (such as Anjou Coffee Scrub)


How to apply

Ÿ  Rub in a circular motion -- rub the coffee scrub into the area where the stretch marks are present, as well as the skin around it. Make sure it covers the entire stretch marks. Gently rub for about 3 – 5 minutes.

Ÿ  Leave it on for 15 – 25 minutes – After 25 minutes, grab a damp, nonabrasive cloth to wipe away the mixture from your skin. You can rinse with water or wash off in the shower (just be careful as coffee grounds can block your drainage)

Ÿ  Apply a natural moisturizer -- Repeat this routine daily and until you see a noticeable difference in the area. Effectiveness can depend on the stretch mark. Some marks are easier to remove than others. Just keep using the coffee scrub daily and you will eventually see results.


Make sure you store unused coffee scrub in an airtight container at room temperature.
